Classic Movie Survey- Part 1

Hi everyone!  This is a fun survey I found on Classic Forever.  I’d love to hear what you think.  Here we go…

Which actors do you always (or did you always) mix-up?

Maureen O’Sullivan and Margaret Sullavan.

Gidget or Beach Party?

Hard choice.  I have a love-hate relationship with both.  Ummm… Beach Party?… because of Beach Blanket Bingo’s super fun songs!!  “It only hurts when I cry.”  Although Sandra Dee is impossibly adorable.

If you could be ANY character in ANY movie…who would you choose?

1) Jean Arthur in The More the Merrier.  Joel McCrea cuddles!  Woohoo!

Runners up: Ginger Rogers in the Major and the Minor; Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music; Katharine Hepburn in the African Queen

If you could marry ANY character in ANY movie…who would you choose?

Fred of course!  That was an easy one.  He’s so sweet, charming, and fun.

If you could live in ANY movie…which would you choose?

Bedford Falls in It’s a Wonderful Life.  Such a lovely town with wonderful people.

Black & White movies you wish were in Technicolor, or vice-versa?

Oooww. This is a hard one.  I feel pretty happy with how each movie is presented either in color or black and white because it is part of what makes up that film’s individual character as I came to know it.  You see what I mean?  I guess if I had to pick one I would say maybe Mutiny on the Bounty with Clark Gable because of the exotic locations.  But I’m happy with it as is.  Roman Holiday because of Paris…?

Favorite Movie Soundtrack?

  1. Guys and Dolls (Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ The Boat is incredible!)
  2. The Sound of Music
  3. The Music Man
  4. The Pajama Game
  5. Calamity Jane

P.S. I love seeing how many of the songs I can sing along with.  Happiness!
